Midwest Design Group LLC is a civil engineering design firm established in 2018. MDG specializes in land planning, land development and public infrastructure design. Darla Holman, Principal, has more than 30-years of experience in civil engineering throughout the Midwest. MDG would love to partner with you, on your next project, whether you are a contractor, developer, architect, another engineering firm, or governmental entity.
I am excited to establish Midwest Design Group, LLC in 2018. After spending almost two decades as a sole proprietor, I thought it was time to launch a woman owned and operated engineering firm that provides attention to detail and excellent communication skills from concept to construction. My goal is to provide a professional yet comfortable partnership that results in a successful project. I invite you to work with us! I guarantee we are not your typical engineering firm!

Darla Holman is an experienced professional civil engineer that provides land development planning and design services in the Midwest. Darla has had her own sole proprietorship for 19 years, and is excited to establish Midwest Design Group, LLC in 2018.
Darla focuses on commercial land development servicing long term clients. Darla has also designed many public infrastructure expansion projects associated with land development.
Prior to starting her sole proprietorship, Darla worked twelve years for engineering consulting firms and the Missouri Department of Transportation where she focused on residential subdivision design, highway traffic engineering and highway construction.
Darla is licensed in the states of Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska.
Darla received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri in 1987.
In her free time, Darla enjoys taking out the Airstream with her husband, Neil, and their two beloved Cairn Terriers!
